Patrick is a London based director & producer from Melbourne, Australia. In 2023, he founded Courageous Donuts with long term collaborator Anastasiya Mykhaylova. Together they have produced 5 shorts across Europe and North America as UK co-productions.
His producing debut, Sparare alle Angurie, distributed by LightsOn, was shortlisted for Cannes Semaine de la Critique and screened at over 70 festivals, streamed on Arte France and Rai Play. His other films won Best Actress at Leuven, screened at Tallinn Black Nights POFF, London Short Film Festival & Shanghai International Film Festival, among others. His most recent short as producer, distributed by Premiere Film - has just wrapped shooting in Italy.
Patrick’s directorial short, which has just completed post-production, explores male jealousy in the face of female success, blending sharp humour with emotional depth. It stars Barney Fishwick, who played Bill Nighy’s son in ‘Living’ which screened at Venice, TIFF and BFI in 2022.
His short film, Made from Leakproof Plastic, directed by Anastasiya Mykhaylova, has its world premiere at this year’s Palm Springs. It explores grief, and follows a Ukrainian migrant living in Canada dealing with grief after the loss of her husband.
